Ed McMahon has passed away at age 86.

He died at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in California early this morning. McMahon was fighting a multitude of health problems, including bone cancer.

A source close to the family said this:

“Ed was at peace because he got his business taken care of. He settled his lawsuit with Cedars and with the settlement he was able to take care of his family.”

Perhaps best known for his 30-some year stint on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, McMahon also hosted Star Search and TV Bloopers and Practical Jokes with pal Dick Clark.

He is an American icon that will truly be missed.

It’s official, offspring of famed entertaining duo Sonny and Cher is now a man. Chastity Bono surgically changed her sex and legally changed her name to Chaz.

Shortly after Chastity turned 40 on March 4, she made the decision to permanently turn into a male. Bono’s spokesman, Howard Bragman said this:

“Yes, it’s true – Chaz, after many years of consideration, has made the courageous decision to honor his true identity.

“He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support and respect that has already been shown by his loved ones. It is Chaz’s hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his ‘coming out’ did nearly 20 years ago.” He added, “We ask that the media respect Chaz’s privacy during this long process as he will not be doing any interviews at this time.”

It is reported that Cher has known about the gender reassignment for quite sometime and is fully supportive of her daughter…or son…or whatever.

The results of the postmortem toxicology tests reveal that Courtney Stewart had been drinking shortly before the fatal crash that ended the life of Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart.

The body of Stewart, driver of the car Adenhart was in, tested positive for alcohol and an illegal substance. Sources would not be more specific.

This information could be extremely important in the defense of Andrew Gallo, the driver of the minivan that ran a light and struck the other car. Gallo was arrested for DUI and later charged with three counts of murder. We’re told Gallo’s lawyer is already honing in on the toxicology tests.
